After months of preparation, the MIS department cut-over from R/Client Managed Care/Billing (DOS-based) to R/Client for Children Provider (Windows-based) took place yesterday at a local early intervention agency.

The data conversion programs ran for what is hoped to be the last time over the weekend. Over 140,000 records containing registration, status, evaluation and service plan data for roughly 8,000 children and their families were imported into R/Client for Children.

MIS staff began entering registration information for new children directly into R/Client for Children. Previously, data was entered into R/Client Managed Care/Billing and transferred electronically to R/Client for Windows on a monthly basis.

There are still numerous custom reports to be duplicated using an integrated reporting tool. The reports will be plugged in using the new "Integrated Custom Reports" feature discussed in an article released January 24th.

Billing information will continue to be managed in R/Client Managed Care/Billing until the new billing module for R/Client for Children is ready.
